HYCo ‘Cookie Swap’ Yarn Advent 2024

You’re cordially invited to the Hack Yarn Company Cookie Swap!

This is our first ever Advent offering, so please read the details carefully!

The Advent will include:

• One full sized, 100 gram skein of Sock yarn
• Twelve mini 20 gram skeins of Sock yarn
• One themed project bag
• Custom progress keepers and/or stitch markers
• Surprises from me to you, curated carefully for the Cookie Swap theme

This is a Baker’s Dozen! NOT a full-sized 24 day Advent.

The Inspiration: beautiful trays full of delicious discoveries of flavors, treasures, and festive confections. I love the warm golden browns, thejewel bright reds, the fresh pops of mint, the glittering sugary glazes… I alsolove the recipes, the memories, and the fellowship of a good Cookie Swap. You can expect more of the same from this year’s 12 Day Advent.

The base: this year’s advent will only be offered on our Sock base.  That’s no sad thing!  HYCo Sock is 75% Super Wash Merino, 25% nylon and 463 yards per 100 grams.  It is soft, durable, and takes color like a dream.

This is a PREORDER, and will be available to order until May 15th OR capacity is reached.  The availability status will be available on the website as well as updates issued via @hackyarnco on Instagram if we approach capacity.

The Advent will ship by November 15th to ensure timely arrival for those wishing to knit the Advent in the 12 days leading to Christmas.

Other than the timing of the Advent in relation to Christmas, please note: there are no religious themes or overtly Santa-related goodies or fabric in this advent.  The focus is on the cookie swap.  Makers of all Faiths and beliefs are absolutely welcome.
